HWPF in scratchpad is completely abandoned and will never be in a release in the foreseeable future. We need to update the website to reflect this. Moreover after a detailed code review we've deemed the code irrepriably and architecturally flawed. SuperLink has commissioned a complete replacement on behalf of its client and development of this codebase has progressed nicely and it is already highly functional. However, we are working on discussions for releasing this to the public as part of the project. We expect to successfully conclude these discussions but I'm less confident than previously for a particular timeframe commitment.

PLEASE DISREGARD ALL HWPF INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE. THE CURRENT CODEBASE CAN AT LEAST BE CONSIDERED DEPRECATED.

Hi all,

I hope someone could give me some answer on these questions:

At what point will the POI get HWPF support in a real release (non-cvs version)? Any plans?

How stable is the current CVS version?

Is the HWPF part active anymore?

For me reading text from the document is enough. I.e. I just want to index the text in the Word document.

Thanks!
