I set ANT_OPTS=-XX:PermSize=128M and it worked! Thanks for the help!
One little note is that Forrest 0.5.1 is required as mentioned in the build.xml which is a little newer than Forrest 0.4 that is mentioned here: http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/howtobuild.html Thanks again!
