I just told that testing it with your program would have needed more
time than just testing it an existing application of mine.
 
As your file can�t fit to my application I have to throw an exception in
some of my plausibilizations. That�s what I meant with application
structure.
 
Your file is still the same � not the big one.
 
We sometimes had problems with files in Excel where we had no problems
or just warnings in POI. Such problems arised in some cases when copying
and changing files. Building them up from the scratch was leading to
proper results again. As you already have problems with tiny files it�s
unlikely to be a similar effect.

  I set up the active cell to (0,0) or as harry mentioned-to any text
cell and tried.it still did nto work for me.what do you mean by
application structure? 
My actual excel file that i have to work on has got 16 sheets and the
sheet which has the lsits is the6th sheet. 
what could be the soluton to my problem then.try this excel file 
please help
