Thanks Tim.

Well I have a couple of questions.

I have looked at the HSSF in detailed and assumed the same for HWPF.
It is my fault for not looking into the details of HWPF.
The user is expecting to have both formats in the next release of the
application.
The HWPF will be used to create a very simple word document.
Is this version of HWPF good enough for production?

In order to build it what version of the J2SE is needed?
I just open the project in Eclipse and built.
Voila that is all that is need for the build?

TIA,
Glenn

Glenn,

Since the HWPF classes are not final, they are still on the Scratchpad
section of the CVS

http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/jakarta-poi/src/scratchpad/src/org/apache/poi/hwpf/

That should take you the correct folder; you will have to download them
all and then perform your own build

Subject: Where are the HWPF classes?

Hi,

I have downloaded the poi-bin-2.5-final-20040302.zip and have successfully

created an excel spreedsheet.
I am now trying to create a Word document but I cannot find the HWPF
package.
Where is the HWPF package?

TIA,
Glenn
