On Sunday evening, Loic and I had a discussion on #pokersource about
migrating poker-network's license to AGPLv3-or-later. If you want to
read the conversation, it is logged at:
  http://pokersource.info/irc/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/2008-09-07.html
(Conversation begins at 17:48:32 and ends at 18:22:30.)

The outcome of the conversation is that Loic will communicate personally
with everyone involved with poker-network over the next few weeks about
the licensing change. In the meantime, I have decided to license my
poker-network changes (but no one else's until they wish it) as
AGPLv3-or-later.

In r4411 ( http://ur1.ca/51z ), I have committed details about how mixed
AGPLv3/GPLv3 works (see the file called 'LICENSE', which was split out
from README). In short, AGPLv3 and GPLv3 both permit a combination
under AGPLv3 while some parts are still GPLv3'd; the two licenses are
directly compatible and do not contradict each other.

I understand that license changes can be shocking. If the user
community has any questions about the AGPL (such as how it differs from
the GPL, etc.), please feel free to post them to this list or ask on
#pokersource. I am happy to answer any questions you have, and I'm sure
Loic is, too.

For the moment, I suggest the Wikipedia entry for AGPL as a good
starting point:
