Hi! The original intent behind Pokerepl was to be my first non-trivial Clojure project. I would love for it to expand and evolve. Delegating the hand analysis logic to a mature codebase seems like a great idea.
Clojure is a new flavor of Lisp which tries to make writing good concurrent software easier. I'm a huge fan. It has very good Java interop: http://clojure.org/java_interop. I've pulled rev 6348 of http://svn.gna.org/svn/pokersource and am playing around with it. I'm comfortable with C but it's been awhile. enumtest2 is segfaulting inside DECK_ENUMERATE_COMBINATIONS_D but I haven't looked closely yet. As for Free Software, I prefer licensing software with the GPL... why should someone's improvements to someone else's code get stuck in their private version control instance? Preaching to the choir I know :-) Seth On Sat, Dec 19, 2009 at 2:43 PM, Loic Dachary <[email protected]> wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Johan Euphrosine wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I've tried your pokerepl project, it looks really interesting > > > > We @pokersource are also doing Free Software poker developement, > > feel free to join our channel irc://irc.freenode.net/#pokersource > > and our mailing list > > https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/pokersource-users > > > > We maintain a C library called poker-eval with java bindings which > > recently got updated: > > http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.games.pokersource.user/978 > > > > Would it be difficult to start a clojure binding from there ? > > > > I'm very new to closure, so feel free to educate me :) > I did not know about, thanks for the information.
