Hi all,

I'm trying to use Polipo at my workplace as a centralized place to store my
proxy password. That is, all applications connect to Polipo without
authentication, at which point Polipo will forward the request (including
the required username and password) to my company's proxy.

This works fine for HTTP requests, but I'm seeing (verified with Wireshark)
that Polipo doesn't add the correct Proxy-Authorization header when it
forwards the CONNECT command for an HTTPS request.

Couple of questions:

- Is this a known issue? Is it fixed in 1.0.5? I'm using Polipo 1.0.4.1, the
Windows "forbidden" build.

- Should this be working in principle, but is there something going wrong in
the negotation between Polipo and the parent proxy (IBM Blue Coat)?

- Can I easily fix this myself? I'd be happy to fix the issue and supply you
with a patch. It seems like I should be able to mostly copy/paste from the
code that handles HTTP request... what files should I be looking at?

Best regards,

Rico
