I tested this use case, the worst scenario occurs: All existing connections 
hangs, no new connections are accepted, and polipo is stuck in an infinite loop 
writing "Couldn't write headers: No space left on device" into /var/log/polipo 
several times per second.

It means this is deadly. I can't (probably) set limits on disk usage. I can't 
use other approaches (quotas, separate disk partition), because then polipo 
hangs. For my purposes polipo is much better then e.g. squid, but this is a 
showstopper, I have no idea how to work around that. On a server I can't just 
_hope_ that the disk usage won't get out of reach.

Any ideas?
