It would be helpful for me to add that I already have Polipo
installed and functional on this very same machine where I want to use
socat to connect to it. Polipo is configured currently at localhost on
port 8118, that is "127.0.0.1:8118". So, on this same machine, I now
want to send the local http port 80 and https port 443 traffic to
socat and then from socat to Polipo. Once I have gotten it to Polipo,
it will convey it on to its destination, which in this case is a socks
proxy also installed already and functioning well. Thanks.

Hello.

configurations to test with. If anyone here knows the proper socat
settings for making this work, I would appreciate some pointers.
Thanks.
