I use your mipsel build of Polipo and I believe that anything that can reduce overhead for the router is useful. I am trying to use my ISP's gateway as an upstream proxy and allow Polipo to translate accordingly. I am noticing the port number and IP have to be a fixed address, which is not very flexible. BindSame seems to allow the communication to remain between two appropriate IP's and replies accordingly with port numbers, without the router's iptables translating every request through it's filtration. I think more flexibility with either feature would be useful. Thanks for a really cool proxy, Jon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
