Hi Juliusz,
Sorry for not giving much details in my previous email.

Yes we are running Polipo on QNX.
And I meant by saying "just a cache" was I want to use Polipo as a Cache
Manager only (like a transparent proxy) as our browser don't have caching
mechanism in it.

I was able to set the proxy on my system, but now I am facing following issue,

We are setting it as a local Proxy for the single user system. And the primary
purpose of it is to cache the web objects.

We are starting system's WiFi connectivity, Polipo and Browser from the startup
process/sequence of the system in same order as I mentioned them. So now the
issue what we are facing is, Polipo will not cache objects on disk cache
because it never gets the URLs prefixed with "http://"; though the whole
connectivity remains good and Browser can access and render all the pages from
the URLs. If we just kill the Browser and start it again from command line
manually without touching WiFi Connectivity or Polipo it works fine and able to
cache the objects and even all the URL will be prefixed with "http://";.

I am not able to figure out why the caching is not working when I start my
Browser from startup and why it works fine if I just kill and start it manually
or start it later without starting it from startup.

If you can give me some pointers that would be a great help.

Thanks,
Kirankumar

Huh? Does Polipo run on QNX?

What's "just a cache"?

Section 2.2 of the Polipo manual.
