Gaar, now you are thinking. Don't go off on a tangent... focus. If you
truly care for your child, you won't have an amniocentesis. There are
people in America who don't believe what I just stated, because they
will abort a child with genetic defects. If you don't believe in
abortion, why would you want to have the amniocentesis? The
probability that your child will die from amniocentesis has been
calculated from 1/100 up to 1/200. For this reason, people who truly
care about their children don't have the procedure. Parents who accept
their children, imperfections and all, won't want to put their
children in jeopardy from an unnecessary test.
