Yesterday, I watched 2 hours of footage of the attacks of 9/11. There are no words in the English vocabulary to describe the sheer horror and suffering those people went through. From the brave first- responders who gave their lives, to the civilians working in the towers who met horrific deaths, to the citizens of NYC who witnessed this nightmare. I'll make this short and sweet. To all of you who re- elected Bush to his second term and for all of you who continue to support him...SHAME, SHAME, SHAME! George Bush used 9/11 as the sole reason to invade Iraq, simply for his own egomaniacal and extremely selfish reasons...whether it be his personal vendetta against Saddam, oil, or corporate enrichment. As you all know, there was no link between 9/11 and Iraq. George Bush had the Iraq invasion on his radar since day 1 of his presidency. George Bush ignored warnings from the outgoing Clinton administration about a possible "airplanes hitting buildings" terrorist attack. George Bush did not want to hear the truth. Instead he went on vacation for an entire month. Immediately after the attacks of 9/11 George Bush told his foreign advisers repeatedly that he wanted a link "between 9/11 and Saddam" and nothing else. He was hell bent on invading Iraq and would use lies and anything possible to continue with his twisted plans. By invading Iraq after this horrendous act of terror, Bush basically gave the victims of 9/11, their families and the American people a royal slap in the face.
