Obama has released a very good video about the stock-market crisis and
our economy, and his plans to address the shambles 8 years of Bush Jr
and John McCain deregulation have left both in.

In the video, he shows that he will be the kind of president Americans
need in a crisis. He is calm and reassuring, but he doesn't pull
punches: he describes the problems we are facing. He then goes on to
describe his plan to deal with it, and he ends by giving us hope that
we, as Americans, can do the elements of his plan and that we will
succeed.

It's not an attack ad against McCain. It's a statement of Obama's
plans to lead us out of this mess.

Compare that to John McCain's plan to get us out of the deregulation
stock-market mess HE and Bush Jr shoved us into. There is no plan,
except to do the opposite of what McCain has pushed for and backed his
entire time in the Senate: regulate.

No plan, and advocating the complete opposite of his own efforts in
the Senate. That means he was wrong for decades and now, after the
deregulated system is on the verge of collapse, he flips and starts
advocating regulation...but still without a plan.

This is the type of free-form, spontaneous important decisions McCain
makes. Like when he chose Sarah Palin for VP without vetting her,
this flip to regulation is a reaction to McCain no longer being able
to parrot Phil Gramm's mantra: the economy is sound, it's all in
American citizens' heads. So he flips to "regulation!" as his new
battle cry, but has no clue as to the changes that need to be made.

And shouting "regulation!" is such a meaningless, Simple-Jack PR ploy
because he doesn't address any of the other problems, the major one
being that lobbyists so control politicians in Congress (like they
control McCain, running his campaign for him) that deregulation--
clearly NEVER a good idea for the stability of our nation, our
country, and our citizens' livelihoods--was shoved onto Americans.
Politicians like McCain put their own selfish obsession with their own
best interests and the best interests of their lobbyists ahead of the
American people, and we are living with the results now.

Please take a serious look at how Obama and McCain are planning to
lead us out of this mess...a mess that McCain helped create.

Clearly, Obama is the better choice. We cannot afford the luxury of
wasting time on one of McCain's hair-brained, spontaneous, unvetted
policies.
