The WAPO's fact-check of the McCain ad said this: The Washington Post that said Raines has "taken calls from Barack Obama's presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters." Reporter Anita Huslin says Raines told her that during an in-person interview. > Of Course, McCain's main economic adviser is Phil Gramm and his > campaign advisers are a Who's Who of lobbyists. I know lobbyists are supposed to be the "boogeyman" in modern politics, but I'm not convinced they are any worse than Obama associating himself with the likes of Jim Johnston and Franklin Raines in the run-up to the Fanny Mae/Freddy Mac debacle. > By now those reading this website and others endeavoring to tell the truth > about Sarah Palin know that she is a facile prevaricator who lies with > aplomb. Everything FACTUAL I've ever read about Palin indicates she's everything she said she is - a reformer who crosses party lines to ensure ethics in government. Of course, if you get your news from the SMEAR merchants at the DailyKOS, which obviously you do, you'd likely have a different opinion. > Lies + hypocrisy = McCain/Palen 60,000 people showed up to hear Sara in Florida yesterday because they are tired of the lies and hypocrisy of Obama/Biden. Besides, how the hell can anyone take you seriously when you can't even spell "Palin?" In short, the political campaign to transform Mr. Obama into a Muslim is > succeeding. And gee, do ya think that maybe the fact Barry's dad was a muslim and his own school records indicate him to be a muslim have anything to do with the fact some people might think he's a muslim, too? Considering how quickly he threw reverend Wright under the bus after saying he would never "disown" him, I frankly don't believe a damn thing Obama says about his religion anymore. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Thanks for being part of "PoliticalForum" at Google Groups.
