There's no need to wait until Democrats take over the White House to
see how socialized medicine will pan out. Just look north of the
border:
Health officials are still investigating how a man found dead at
the Health Sciences Centre ER waiting area escaped the attention of
medical staff for 34 hours.
"Staff weren't aware he was waiting for care," said Dr. Brock
Wright, chief operating officer for the Winnipeg Regional Health
Authority, at a news conference this morning. "They didn't know he was
in the queue waiting to be seen."
Wright said the man had been dead "for a number of hours" before
he was brought to the attention of medical staff early Sunday
morning.
For the sake of efficiency, maybe bureaucrats could pass a new
regulation requiring the really sick patients to wait in the morgue.
