Hollywood I repeat -- the Democrats control Congress... They refused to press their own Caucus members to vote for the bill... The House Democratic leadership failed it s leadership test... They had the votes to pass the bill if they had truely seen this a crisis instead of a partisan photo-op...
When the Republicans controlled Congress by similar margins -- you and other Democrats blamed Republicans for their lack of leadership... Now that its the Democrats in charge, you blame Republicans... There is a pattern here... Pelosi and gang has failed to pass trade treaties, the deal with India, a serious energy policy, not one funding bill (excluding continuous resolutions) ... They have focused on trying to blame Bush through investigations, defunding the troops, pulling out of Iraq in defeat... It is a do nothing Congress...
