Hey there, I had the chance to sit down with one of the former VPs of Citigroup last night and talk to him about the current bailout proposal. With all the talking heads yammering away about it, I've found it very hard to even form a cogent opinion, let alone sort out salient information from rubbish.
He does a remarkable job of explaining the role and function of banks in society, what contributed to the huge losses banks have faced, and why the bailout is needed for society to continue to function in the way we'd like it to.
