It certainly seems that way.
Warren Buffett was on Charlie Rose earlier tonight touting the bailout
package. Also said people in his league are paying too little in
taxes. Reminded me of an old man many years ago who taught me the
stock market; "Never worry about taxes, the market is easy money," he
advised. He was right, of course, especially capital gains - which is
a flat tax on easy money.
Buffett said the bailout must pass, regardless. He also brought up a
point I had forgetten about "bubbles" and the madness of crowds. This
time when housing prices became unrealistic and everyone jumped on. We
saw this coming, crooks and fools notwithstanding.
