The fact that this election is even close tells me all I need to know; this country cannot survive as currently inhabited. Our lawmakers and most specifically the democrats, have this country on the brink of financial disaster. They have mortgaged America’s future for political power and personal wealth. And yet, as a people, most Americans remain perched in front of their televisions while the doomsday boulder barrels down on their house and still, the democrats have a chance to hold on to their power and expand its base. These are the same people who have enriched the life of Michael Moore for his insidious attacks on the very country that allowed him the most. For these people I have no compassion or sympathy. However, there are millions of people who will suffer because of them. We can no longer posit the question as to if the system will collapse, it will. Perhaps this credit crisis will be the impetus, if not our $57 trillion dollar debt will. And by the way, we have just added $2 trillion dollars to that. Still, congress keeps spending and spending. $150 billion dollars of pork in the bailout plan alone, for superfluous extravagance on such things as the wool industry, wooden arrows, NASCAR, bicycle paths, the renewable energy scam and $4000 hookers. I sometimes wonder if the huddled masses, the great un-washed actually understand what a financial collapse would mean. I suspect most do not as I’ve yet to see a pitchfork brandishing mob in the streets on their way to Washington, yet the day will come when that sight will be normality. America will face 2000% inflation, an 80% un-employment rate, electrical blackouts, riots, rampant crime, massive food shortages, disease of biblical proportions and the end of western civilization. I’ve painted a dire and bleak picture yet, one not thought out. The actual tipping point will be the loss of our AAA credit rating, soon to come. We’re rapidly reaching the point where we can no longer pay the interest on our massive debt. At that point countries stop loaning us money for our congress to waste, also, S&P will lower our credit rating increasing the interest we can no longer pay. Our government will do the only thing they can; print more money devaluing our currency to bargain basement levels. When these things happen our monetary bureaucracy will be on fire and we’ll have no hose to dampen it. Expect government to freeze prices in order to curb a roaring inflation only to obstruct supply, as it always does. With America cold and hungry only the worst human attributes will be on display. Some may take solace in that the rest of the world will suffer our misery but it will be short lived. For America as we knew it will be gone forever; thanks to our greedy politicians with a special emphasis on the Democratic Party, may they burn in hell.
