By the way...

Although I understand the point you are attempting to make, you would
be technically correct if you had said died in War.

Technically, the way you have stated this, you are wrong...

We lose, on average, nearly 2.5 Million Americans every Year now, many
more in ONE Year than died during the entire Civil War.

So again, technically your statement is wrong.
