Hi CW, Neither of these candidates is doing much for me and only reinforces my opinion that we need to fix the election system so other party candidates have a chance to compete.
My prediction of an Obama win is not so much a vote of confidence in Obama as it is an acknowledgement that McCain doesn't have what it takes to overcome Bush and his ineffective campaign. For example, why is it that the bad economic news is hurting McCain? Worst case, both parties share responsibility. But the major players tied to Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, Dodd and Franks, are Democrats; Obama has received far more campaign contributions from Frannie and Freddie than McCain (and that's a total of McCain since 1989 vs Obama just since 2004); and both Raines and Johnson, former Fannie Mae CEO's, have had involvement with the Obama campaign. Despite all this, McCain, and not Obama, is taking it on the chin for the crisis. Such is the negative power of Bush and an inept McCain campaign.
