For instance, the Mortgage mess is ROOTED in the
GSEs FNMA and its derivatives (which came out of Roosevelt's
era) along with CRA (which came under Carter) ... and
their endless manipulations (under Clinton the most obvious).
There were BOTH Rs and Ds voting for these ....
Of course this Central Planning and intervention creates
all sorts of the "Unseen".
