gaar, What KIND of jobs? Service industry? How many of those jobs were full-time? How many had adequate health care benefits? How many had any sort of profit-sharing or pension benefits?
What did those jobs pay on average? A "job" can be working at the car-wash part-time for $6.00/Hr and sleeping in your car at night. Or a "job" can be a skilled tradesman working full time with some overtime for $20.00/hr. with good health care benefits for your family. Pure numbers mean very little. If 100,000 of the skilled, high-paying jobs are lost and replaced by 300,000 shit jobs in the service industry.....? Well, even you can figure that one out. BTW the 100,000 job figure was simply chosen at random, I don't know what the actual figures are. Just using that number for comparison, could just as easily used another. You look it up if your curious, even you should understand my point.
