Obama Campain Calls Joe the Plumber Mythical
by Scott Ott
(2008-10-17) — A viral video of an alleged ‘plumber’ talking to Barack Obama
which inspired last night’s game-changing debate performance by Sen. John
McCain is “a fake,” according to an unnamed strategist working for the Obama
for America campaign.

Joe ‘The Plumber’ Wurzelbacher, of Holland, Ohio, “is a fictional, mythical
character made up out of whole cloth by the Republicans,” the Democrat insider
said.

“When we saw a middle-class guy, a common tradesman, who can articulate
conservative values and principles off-the-cuff, without being intimidated by
the awe-inspiring presence of the world’s most powerful man, we smelled a rat,”
the source said. “Not to mention the fact that he’s living in one of those
middle states where there’s no chance of him meeting the kind of intellectuals
who could train him to speak intelligibly.”

The Democrat strategist noted that, “The legend has grown so big that McCain’s
soon going to tell us that the Ohio river valley was created one day when a
work-weary Joe the Plumber dragged his giant pipe wrench home carving a ravine
in the rich Ohio soil. I can’t wait to see pictures of his pet… no doubt an
immense red pit bull.”
“Face it,” he said, “Men like Joe don’t exist. The vast majority of American
workers, isolated from the coastal centers of culture and education, are
hapless victims of corporate greed who look to Washington as their last best
hope. American journalists didn’t believe the legend of Sarah Palin, they’re
not going to fall for this ploy.”
