So this is where we are these days. Plumber Joe ("PJ") is suddenly
thrust on the state in all his blue jean-ed glory simply by saying
something that ..... just.... makes..... sense.
In these days of watching instant opinion tracking polls live with
each debate ("Look, it shot up when he mentioned Lindsay Lohan!!!
Dropped like a rock with his reference to Hillary, what does that tell
you???!!!!"), we're reached a point where we can't/won't think on our
own.
So in comes PJ and generally says to Obama something like "your tax
plan sucks because it will limit what I can do in the future" and the
right screams "we told you so!!!!" and the left immediately tries to
discredit him "he owes back taxes!!!"
Eeeegads
The simple fact that it's got so much play is very telling on where
Obama's weaknesses are (not on Avery, Wright or Biden's hairplugs) and
where McCain should have focused 3 months ago. And 2 months ago. And
yesterday (finally).
Elect Obama and your taxes are going up. And the funny part? He's
yet to say why, I guess no one's asked him.
