Good Morning Brine! I agree with you! When you move into one of these neighborhoods with a homeowner's association that has "Covenants".....You damn sure better know what they say!
I have been involved in a number of these homeowner association "Feuds"; and ninety-nine percent of the time, the Home Owner's Association is going to prevail....They are usually, "Right". As I imagine they are in this matter with the sign covering the garage. The theory, is that if you allow one Home Owner to violate the rules, then this will allow for major violations of the rules. (Whether you agree with that theory or not!) My experience, is that there are usually a lot of short, governmental agent type wanna-bes who have never really had a lot of authority, and crave it in their latter years.
