There can be no slicker way to violate your civil liberties and the lives
of those you love, than arming local police with weapons of war, and
telling *you* that it's about *protectingyou and yours*. You know the
well-worn, but well-accepted practice of government giving the states
'stuff' beyond handouts to feed the needy -- stuff like vehicles used for
withstanding IEDs, battle gear for police worthy of Taliban territory,
unprecedented quantities of ammo, and drones in the hands of police and
sheriffs, already used to spy on

Without whistleblowers, we wouldn't know half of what we know. By the way,
whistleblowers need prayer for safety.

Salina, California Police
Note: I am not targeting the city of Salinas, California. I'm simply making
a point that there may be numerous instances of heavily-armored law
enforcement around the country, perhaps with tight allegiance to this
administration.

A contact within the DHS claims that Obama's administration has been
working long and hard to finalize plans "to respond to a crisis of
unprecedented magnitude." Now when you hear something like this, you would
think "shouldn't the government be prepared for an incident like this?" And
you are exactly right, but here's the thing, the government is preparing
for a dystopian future where the main cause of our current government's
falling is an act that they themselves set into place. Mr. Conservative,

At the National Governors Association meeting with Obama last weekend,
rhetoric from the president that "chilled the room" set the tone, according
to South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, threats and promises (translation:
payback), telling governors not to complain about his proposed cuts to the
National Guard, which also changes the Guard's aviation abilities through
changes

While some states are attempting to militarize the National Guard which is
unconstitutional and not acceptable, the National Guard has its place. It
is meant to serve in times of need and emergency, as well as "to execute
the Laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel invasion." (Article
I, Section 8, Clause 15) If you cut funding to the States' National Guard
forces, they become much weaker and it will be harder to protect the
individual states....Americans should be getting very, very nervous over
this. Source:

This year alone [2013], over 150 so-called "mine-resistant ambush-protected
vehicles," or MRAPs, used by U.S. forces in Iraq, were distributed by the
administration to local police departments within the "Homeland." The
Department of Homeland Security, meanwhile, has been at the center of
mounting controversy for over a year as it stockpiled the beastly military
vehicles and massive quantities of ammunition for domestic use. At the same
time, federal efforts to unconstitutionally commandeer state and local law
enforcement are accelerating.

In New York State five sheriff's departments and three police agencies
received MRAPs from the DOD:

"It's armored. It's heavy. It's intimidating. And it's free," said Albany
County Sheriff Craig Apple, one of the officials whose department now has a
federally provided MRAP beast of war. Source: see New American link above

Remember Homeland Security agents "posing as NATIONAL "police" across the
country to monitor TEA Party activists?

>From California to Florida and everywhere in between, armed DHS
functionaries -- part of the so-called "Federal Protective Service" (FPS) --
intimidated and spied on peaceful activists, according to protesters in
attendance. News
reports<http://www.bizpacreview.com/2013/05/21/homeland-security-monitors-tea-party-at-florida-irs-protest-71096>were
filled with
pictures<http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/05/21/why-were-dhs-agents-seemingly-monitoring-multiple-tea-party-irs-protests-across-the-country-on-tuesday/>and
videos of large Homeland Security trucks that said "police" in giant
letters, along with armed DHS personnel dressed in "police" outfits. At a
rally in Los Angeles, a DHS helicopter was even spotted flying
overhead<http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/guns/dhs-rolls-out-armed-personnel-confront-unarmed-tea-party-protestors>as
federal "police" ordered protesters to get off of government property.

It is essential that our neighbors understand what Barack Obama and Eric
Holder can accomplish together, while a Democrat Senate is on their knees.
We have no protection inside the U.S. As Congressman Trey Gowdy said about
Lois Lerner, the head of the IRS targeting snake, the House cannot indict
her, cannot prosecute her, cannot put her

the right thing hasn't happened since January 2009. The right thing
will not be, and is not now, afforded to gun-toting, constitution-carrying,
Bible-clinging Americans.

In Montgomery County, Texas, the sheriff's department owns a $300,000
pilotless surveillance drone, like those used to hunt down al Qaeda
terrorists in the remote tribal regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In Augusta, Maine, with fewer than 20,000 people and where an officer
hasn't died from gunfire in the line of duty in more than 125 years, police
bought eight $1,500 tactical vests.

Police in Des Moines, Iowa, bought two $180,000 bomb-disarming robots,
while an Arizona sheriff is now the proud owner of a surplus Army tank.

...police in Jefferson County, New York, Boise and Nampa, Idaho, as well as
High Springs, Florida, have all acquired MRAPs. Police in West Lafayette,
Indiana also have an MRAP, valued at half a million dollars.

Almost 13,000 agencies in all 50 states and four U.S. territories
participate in the military "recycling" program, and the share of equipment
and weaponry gifted each year continues to expand. In 2011, $500 million
worth of military equipment was distributed to law enforcement agencies
throughout the country. That number jumped to $546 million in 2012. Since
1990, $4.2 billion worth of equipment has been transferred from the Defense
Department to domestic police agencies through the 1033 program, in
addition to various other programs supposedly aimed at fighting the
so-called War on Drugs and War on Terror. For example, the Department of
Homeland Security has delivered roughly $34 billion to police departments
throughout the country since 9/11, ostensibly to purchase more gear for
their steady growing arsenals of military weapons and equipment. Source:

Texas is a border state and I have no problem with drones in that area, but
across our country, drones are being used for other than border crimes: one
example in
Texas<http://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Buzz-over-local-drone-use-getting-louder-4815449.php>.
Montana is stopping it before it begins (until their state's rights are
slain).<http://billingsgazette.com/news/state-and-regional/montana/states-propose-limiting-use-of-drones-by-police/article_90d6d76d-8609-5dda-8a0a-b019c7f1463a.html>

The ACLU said the states won't be able to stop federal agencies or border
agents from using drones. But the Montana ban would not allow local police
to use criminal information collected by federal drones that may be handed
over in cooperative investigations.

Repeating: until Holder beheads Montana's law.

We want our police and sheriff's departments to do their sworn duty and
protect citizens ably, but we don't want them to be a small army, which
will not resist, in many parts of the country, following an order from
Washington to protect government before citizens.URL:
