“The Department of Justice’s board of immigration appeals has decided to
let Guatemalan women win asylum in the United States if they claim to be
victims of domestic violence. The decision was announced in an Aug. 26
decision from the Board of Immigration Appeals at President Barack Obama’s
Department of Justice. It creates a huge new incentive for Guatemalan women
to cross the U.S. border, because if their asylum claim is accepted, their
children get U.S. citizenship, plus the use of federal health, education
and retirement programs, regardless of their initial education and work
skills. The new decision also means that many of the Guatemalan women who
have already crossed the border this year have a new claim for asylum.”
Col. West lays out the trap that this move has set. Anyone caught
objecting to a whole passel of "domestic violence" claims - and there is no
way to prove their veracity - will be labelled "uncompassionate." Domestic
violence is a tragedy when it happens. Lying about it in order to cross a
border into a country for asylum is plain and simply dishonest.
And thanks to the Eric Holder Justice Department which is doing its best to
find every little loophole in the immigration laws, the women who are
willing to lie about abuse will just walk right into the United States and
then try to find a way to bring the rest of the clan.
Wonder what else Holder has up his sleeve.
