The political establishment in both major parties has some nerve.
First, they conspire to keep third-party candidates off the ballot through
elaborate ballot access requirements.
Then, when a candidate like Robert Sarvis manages to overcome those
obstacles and gets on the ballot, they scheme to keep him out of the
debates.
Now, the Republicans have the audacity to blame him for “spoiling” the
election--even though that’s not even true. And if the election went the
other way, the Democrats would be saying the same thing, just as they are
doing in North Carolina.
Make no mistake, they aren’t really blaming Robert Sarvis. They are blaming
the 53,463 Virginians who voted their conscience, who voted against the
two-party system, who voted for liberty.
They are blaming YOU for THEIR failure to win an election.
Meanwhile, we are building a movement from the ground up.
Robert and everyone who worked very hard on his campaign hope that you will
not let this election be the end of your investment in advocating for
liberty for the next two years. *Robert recorded a special video message to

The momentum of this campaign should carry over into building an active
Libertarian movement that will become more and more a viable alternative to
the broken two-party system as more people continue to wake up to the
reality that the two major parties don’t create the solutions that voters
so desperately want from our political leaders.
We hope that you will all take an active role in improving Virginia
politics by joining the Libertarian Party of Virginia--join a local LP
affiliate group, or get one started! Sooner or later, we’re going to get
Libertarians in office, and we’re going to change things for the better.
Perhaps you’ll even consider running for office in the next year or two?
All the more reason to join and build Libertarian networks now!
Stay vigilant; keep talking to people about the message of liberty; keep
paying attention to what your elected officials at all levels of government
do; and keep the pressure on them to sponsor legislative initiatives that
restore protections for civil liberties, unleash free markets, and free
people to live the lives they choose and pursue opportunity without the
burden of unjust government regulation and repression.
Thank you again for your belief in something better. Thank you for your
support. Thank you for cherishing liberty, and continuing to clamor for it
