When the provision for state militias was established it was for a reason. It was so that the individual states could take care of emergencies within their own borders.
In the late 20's the fed did not like the idea of the states being in control of their own militias so they came up with the concept of a national guard. This was because when the Lousiana State Milita and Huey long stood toe to toe with the US ARmy, they decided they did not want the states to get uppity with the federal government. Because the states take money from the federal government for the national guard, the fed actually controls the national guard and not the individual states. This means that is the state has an emergency and wants to use its national guard the federal government can say no. That is what our wimp in chief did in Ferguson, MO. Which resulted in property damage just so him and the lawless element of society and assorted leftist could milk the situation for political mileage. The states were more than happy to accept the national guard ruse, as long s the money came out of someone else's pocket. For the sake fof free money from the fed, none appear to have enough brains to realize that their were strings attached and all they were doing was dancing with the devil. Ferguson has shown us that in no uncertain terms. Troops that were supposed to be at the disposal of the governor to maintain order could not be used when it was necessary to because of federal interference. I'm just coming out and telling the truth whether they want to hear it or not. The Dick Act of 1903 is still on the books and allows the states to have their own militias. But that would mean that the individual states would have to dig in their pocket to fund their own militias. Apparently they prefer federal money and behaving as boot-lickers to the federal government rather than insuring safety, security and liberty for the citizens that reside within their respective borders. Nothing is free, everything has to be paid for. If some schmuck tells you something is free, you better ask why. Everything has a price, question is what will it cost you ??? A wise man questions everything, a fool questions nothing. If Missouri had actually had its own militia rather than national guard, they could have stepped in and taken care of their own problem without groveling to the fed. The fed could not have stuck their nose in their business in Ferguson and delayed the arrival of aide to the citizens and less property damage could have occurred. Something to think about. It has happened before and it will happen again. Question is what will it take for the individual states to learn the lesson ??? __._,_.___ ------------------------------ Posted by: "beowulf" <[email protected]> ------------------------------ Visit Your Group <https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/grendelreport/info;_ylc=X3oDMTJmY3RhbzNtBF9TAzk3MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzIwMTk0ODA2BGdycHNwSWQDMTcwNTMyMzY2NwRzZWMDdnRsBHNsawN2Z2hwBHN0aW1lAzE0MTcyMDI3MTA-> [image: Yahoo!
