A company is supposed to make money and pay taxes prescribed by Government. They should also spend some in 'CSR' - corporate social responsibility.
That is the way they can remain competitive. If at all any additional taxes or tax breaks to be imposed, that has to be across all companies - i.e. Microsoft, Google etc. Feeling jealous about companies by listening to Sen. Obama's speeches is not good.. Gov. Palin had been successful in negotiating additional taxes with them and I believe that is also possible. A confrontation kind of approach with corporates is not healthy for economy. No one will volunteer to pay. But when we sit across table and convince them 'why ?' - they wouldn't mind considering public outrage.
