Can you envision what this world would be like today, if the liberal contingent of the Democrat Party had prevailed a little over a year ago, and we had withdrawn our troops out of Iraq? What a total "Clusterfuck" (for lack of a better term) that region would be today? What power al Queida would have, and the dominance that Iran would have over the region?
Instead, we have a stable government in Iraq, our Nation's armed forces will leave with honor after having assisted in establishing a democratically elected government in a Nation-State that now has dominion and control internally, as well possessing the capabilities of defending itself from external forces? More importantly, we will leave a Nation-State with a democratic form of government, who is friendly and receptive to our interests. To think that Senator Obama was against the surge, voted not to fund our troops, and wanted to cut tail and run, and yet, there are still those in America who refuse to acknowledge this one important factor!
