>From SCAMA webpage *9/13/2001* --The Los Angeles Muslim Community raised $100, 000 last night towards the legal defense of Imam Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, wrongfully imprisoned for over a year. Over 800 people gathered from all over Southern California, and were inspired by talks by Imam Suhaib Webb, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, Dr. Maher Hathout, Shaykh Anwar Al-Awlaki, Amir Abdel Malik Ali, Shaykh Yassir Ibrahim, Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, and Imam Abdul Alim Musa. The event, organized by Masjid Al-Islam Los Angeles, was sponosored by CAIR, MAS, MPAC, Al-Talib Newsmagazine, MSA West, Ilm Foundation, ICNA, SAIJ, and others. May Allah accept the efforts of the dozens of people who helped make this event a success, and may He forgive our sins, and make Jannah our final abode.
