Volkswagen. Whom did the company aggress against? Whose rights were violated? Who was defrauded? Who is the victim? Mother Earth? In other words, something that doesn’t exist. What right does the U.S. government have to dictate what car emissions should be. None whatsoever. Could Republicans have gotten rid of CAFE standards and emissions standards when they controlled the government for over four years under George W. Bush? Of course they could have. They did nothing, as usual.
