Photo: ZumaPress.com “Jihadi John,” the bloodthirsty ISIS member who beheaded American and British hostages in savage propaganda videos for the terror group, is believed to have been killed by a US drone strike Thursday in Syria. An American official said the maniacal masked butcher behind the gruesome executions of US journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff was “eviscerated” by a drone missile as he exited a building, according to ABC News. <http://abcnews.go.com/International/jihadi-john-believed-killed-us-drone-strike/story?id=35170345> A US official told ABC that the airstrike against the man also known as Mohammed Emwazi was “flawless” and a “clean hit” with no collateral damage, and that Emwazi was basically “evaporated” as he tried to get into a vehicle. The Pentagon confirmed that John was targeted in the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa but could not confirm the report that he was believed to have been killed. “We are assessing the results of tonight’s operation and will provide additional information where appropriate,” Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook said in a statement. Cook added that John participated in “videos showing the murders of US journalists Steven Sotloff and James Foley, US aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig, British aid workers David Haines and Alan Henning, Japanese journalist Kenji Goto and a number of other hostages.” Modal Trigger[image: https://thenypost.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/jihadijohn.jpg?quality=100&strip=all&w=300&strip=all] Jihadi John, also nicknamed “John the Beatle” for his British accent, was from a wealthy family, grew up in West London and graduated from college <http://nypost.com/2015/02/28/how-a-uk-school-bred-a-cute-kid-into-jihadi-john/> with a degree in computer programming. He later became radicalized and went to Syria, where he waged a bloody campaign of terror through slickly produced ISIS beheading videos. <http://nypost.com/2015/08/23/video-appears-to-show-jihadi-john-unmasked-for-first-time/> He appeared in his first video, entitled “A Message to America,” in August 2014. In that horrifying video, which shocked the world, Foley read a prepared statement criticizing American foreign policy before John took a knife to his neck. In the next frame, Foley’s dismembered head is seen lying on back. Over the next few months, John appeared in the beheading videos of the other victims. The videos were eerie and similar in nature, with John brandishing a large knife and holding the orange-jumpsuit-clad captive by the scruff of his neck as the jihadi rails against the “sins” of the West. The beheading of Kassig was not seen on screen, but his body was shown after the deed. Jihadi John was on the radar of British intelligence and was detained when he tried to enter Kuwait before his reign of terror began. Javier Espinosa said the killer once held a knife up to his neck and threatened him while describing how the militants carry out a beheading. “Feel it? Cold, isn’t it?” Espinosa quoted Jihadi John as saying. “Can you imagine the pain you’ll feel when it cuts? Unimaginable pain.” “I’ve seen it before, you all squirm like animals, like pigs. The third blow will take off your head.
