It was a symbol of something much different previous to its adoption by The German National Socialist Workers Party. According to the article, it was a symbol of peace. It did represent something much different in the past and peace may be part, or even all of it. I do remember seeing it on the shield of an American Indian in a movie in the 1960s, so it may also have been used by American and Asian Indians. Suffice it to say that it represented something much better, even nice, in the past. Which gets to the point of this. If it did represent peace & good things, then with its appropriation by the Nazis, then it is a fitting symbol of the lies of the socialists. Arbeit macht frei. Peace is war. Deprivation is prosperity. Think about it. And for whaever it's worth, I have read elsewhere on the internet about other efforts to rehabilitate the swastika, called by some the twisted cross.
