The measure is being called “the single most important move” being made by Republicans toward the impeachment of Barack Obama. The resolution lists, among other things, “failing to take care that the laws be faithfully executed” and “substituting executive agreements for treaties” as two key crimes that are considered “impeachable.” Eleven actions are listed in total, and Obama is guilty of many of them. His most notable violation is his blatant refusal to enforce immigration laws. Yoho says that he is confident his resolution will cause a “firestorm.” Still, he maintains that “this is strictly about the rule of law” and that he doesn’t intend to back down any time soon. Yoho also claims that many of Obama’s moves have been “blatant, in-your-face ‘I’m above the law and I’m going to do what I want.
