All of this monitoring paid off when they caught Jonas M. Edmonds plotting to attack a U.S. Army National Guard base in Illinois. The plan was to have his cousin, Hasan Edmonds, who is in the Army National Guard, get him a military uniform to use during his attack. Hasan and Jonas have been charged for providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization. This is clearly one strategy to handle ISIS. But the FBI can’t be everywhere at once. Obama needs to get his head out of the sand and help find a permanent solution.
