Terry McAuliffe, attempting to redefine the Second Amendment. Just last week, Virginia announced that concealed handgun permits held by residents of 25 states will no longer be valid in in that state. By withdrawing national recognition of concealed carry licenses, Virginia is, in essence, making a unilateral declaration that infringes upon the Second Amendment rights of Americans. Just like that. Naturally, GOP leaders were none to pleased with this move. And now, they aim to fire back in the most fitting way — taking away Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s own protective detail. As Virginia Sen. Bill Carrico says of the move, “If he’s so afraid of guns, then I’m not going to surround him with armed state policemen.” Boom! If they want to disarm American citizens from protecting themselves, let them be the first to disarm themselves.
