I did read the article. Centuries of Judaism required jewish ancestors to breed only with other Jews and often, that meant with cousins. The inbreeding was so genetically close that it created a "lifetime racial psychosis."

About one in 100 Ashkenazim carry type A or B Niemann‑Pick disease, a crippling neurological disintegration that ends life well before the teens.
