Ironically, a timely religious conversion might well have provided him with a free pass to commit the perverted acts for which he was found guilty. Fogle should have converted to Islam to fulfill his desires to engage in sex with children. As a practicing Muslim, he could well have defended such acts of pedophilic lust as sanctioned by his religion. Now, there will be readers immediately crying foul at this statement, but bear with me (or as Islam permits Muslim males to say to a child, "bare with me"). It is pretty well accepted-both by Prophet Muhammad's supporters and detractors-that he took as one of his many wives a young girl, with whom he had sexual relations when she was but 9 years old. Supporters try to justify this action <http://media.rasoulallah.net/rasoulallah.net/why-did-prophet-muhammad-marry-aisha-the-young-girlen.pdf> as one culturally embraced at the time. But because Muslims today are taught to live their life as did Muhammad <http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/09/14/key-questions-answers-about-prophet-muhammad.html> 1,400 years ago, the act of a Muslim male engaging in sexual relations with underage girls is one Islam still sanctions today. One need only heed the late Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who wrote <http://www.islam-watch.org/Others/Be-Warned-Infidel-Women.htm>: "A man can quench his sexual lusts with a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate. Sodomizing the baby is halal (allowed by shariah)...It is better for a girl to marry when her menstruation starts..." As if not disgusting enough, Khomeini-further encouraging the practice-went on to claim any father giving a daughter to marriage "so young will have a permanent place in heaven." Not only did Khomeini talk such talk, he walked the walk with young children, as one Muslim cleric reports <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60MC3bVFG6s> in a YouTube statement. He gives an account of how a 4-year-old girl, given to the Aytollah upon his request, could be heard later that night screaming as he had his way with her. Just a few days ago, when an Afghan wife objected <http://conservativetribune.com/wife-objects-husband-lesson/> to her husband's attempt to take a 7-year-old girl as his second wife, he cut off the objecting wife's nose for denying him the lustful satisfaction Muhammad granted all Muslim males. Also earlier this month, a legislative effort to ban child marriages in Pakistan was shot down after the Council of Islamic Ideology determined the bill <http://tribune.com.pk/story/1027742/settled-matter-bill-aiming-to-ban-child-marriages-shot-down/> to be "anti-Islamic" and "blasphemous." In 2014, the council had addressed this same issue, finding girls as young as nine were eligible for marriage "if signs of puberty are visible." Pakistani author Mehvish Muneera Ismail writes <http://tribune.com.pk/story/1020355/of-child-marriages-and-medieval-mindsets/> about child brides, "Whilst more prevalent amongst the less affluent, this phenomenon extends beyond rural areas and poverty. It is present even amongst middle class families, where girls are married off young not because it means one less mouth to feed, but because it is assumed that marriage is the end-all and be-all for girls." Such sexual abuse of young girls is not limited to the Islamic extremist cultures of Afghanistan and Pakistan. In moderate Saudi Arabia, a horrendous child sexual abuse case came to light in 2013. Shockingly, a popular imam raped his own 5-year-old daughter <http://www.examiner.com/article/saudi-imam-rapes-tortures-5-yr-old-daughter-because-he-doubted-her-virginity>, then tortured and finally murdered her because he "doubted her virginity." Despite evidence indicating over a 10-month period the child suffered multiple rapes, broken bones, a broken back, a crushed skull and numerous body burns inflicted by a cane and electric cables, it was ruled under Shariah he could not be executed for slaying his daughter <http://libertyunyielding.com/2014/03/11/released-imam-raped-tortured-5-yr-old-doubted-virginity/>. After serving a very brief sentence, he was required to pay $50,000 to the child's mother-his ex-wife-half the amount he would have had to pay had the child been male. Meanwhile, in Turkey, our NATO partner's Diyanet-the Directorate for Religious Affairs-recently issued two back-to-back fatwas that can only leave us shaking our heads in disbelief. While finding the innocent act of an engaged couple holding hands to be anti-Islamic, the Diyanet found the perverted act of a father lusting for his own daughter <http://www.meforum.org/5796/turkey-father-daughter-lust> not to be. In reference to cultures at odds with each other, the poet Rudyard Kipling wrote in 1889, "East is east, and west is west, and never the twain shall meet." We are finding today, however, with Islam permitting the sexual abuse of children, such boundaries are crumbling. Unfortunately, so too is the West's moral courage to stop such abuse. U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland endeavored to demonstrate moral courage while serving in Afghanistan, paying a heavy price for having done so. A Green Beret, Martland saw the U.S. mission <http://americanactionnews.com/articles/the-green-beret-discharged-for-beating-an-afghan-child-rapist-speaks-out#sthash.55dZLSGY.dpuf> there to wrestle control away from Islamic fundamentalist influences undermining peace and prosperity. Upon learning an ally in this fight-a local Afghan police chief-was regularly and brutally raping a little Afghan boy, Martland beat the police chief up. As superiors had told Martland not to interfere in local law enforcement matters, the sergeant was court-martialed and forced out of the Army. But what happens in Muslim countries today does not stay in those countries. As Muslim immigrants have settled in Europe, their religious leaders discourage assimilation <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FBZVmq6CdU> in order to maintain Islam's "purity." This has resulted in hundreds of "no-go zones <http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5128/france-no-go-zones>" being established throughout Europe (751 alone in France <http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/2006/11/the-751-no-go-zones-of-france>), where host nation law enforcement dare not go. This leaves Shariah to dictate Muslim community behavior-i.e., a legal system that allows male sexual abuse of children. A 2014 report in the United Kingdom revealed between 1997-2013, approximately 1,400 children in Rotherham Borough had been abducted, trafficked to other cities, beaten and sexually molested by multiple perpetrators. Despite such horrific child abuse, staff members interviewed to identify the perpetrators were reluctant to describe them as Muslims for fear of being labeled "racist." In Sweden last week, police called <https://www.rt.com/news/330180-police-violent-refugees-sweden/> to a refugee center to stop Muslim males from repeatedly raping a boy were forced away by a mob of "outraged" migrants. With President Barack Obama opening America's doors to 100,000 Syrian refugees (many of whom are young males) in the very near future, their non-assimilation will give rise to no-go zones here (some already exist <http://truthuncensored.net/there-are-muslim-no-go-zones-in-the-usa/>) where Islamic lust for child sex will be nurtured.
