Who Have They Chosen For Us?

As the candidates complete their auditions for the lead role in “The Presidency – 2016,” we are left to wonder who the establishment owners will select (or, perhaps, have selected) to be their candidates for the GOP and Democratic parties. In the spirit of “bipartisanship” that Boobus has long regarded as statism’s highest virtue, the owners will allow voters to choose between the two candidates, each of whom has been given security clearance for the protection of corporate-state interests. Not being privy to the owners’ secret deliberations, I can only guess at the names we will be told will be “our” choice to play president at the White House.
I suspect that there will be a great deal of hesitancy for the owners to let Donald Trump be the Republican candidate. The troubling question will be whether Trump can really be counted on to adhere to establishment directives. If he is considered too independent to be willing to sit – like the RCA Victor dog who listens to “his master’s voice” – the GOP option may be Jeb Bush who, after all, has picked up a major endorsement from . . . his mom!
The naming of the Democratic party candidate will prove equally amusing to watch. In addition to the potential criminal charges awaiting her, Hillary is disliked and distrusted by so many people who see her as little more than one willing to do anything to obtain and exercise power. Furthermore, she has thus far been doing too much campaigning through husband Bill, a vision that not only conjures up his moral and ethical baggage, but will lead many to ask if she is too weak to be presidential.
At the same time, I doubt that most voting Americans will regard the country as so far gone that it will turn to the retread Marxist, Bernie Sanders, for salvation. The history of the many failed efforts of state planning to generate economic creativity will be enough to keep Bernie in his comic-opera role. The Democratic nominee will likely prove to be a more reliable person, perhaps Joe Biden.
And should you expect the upcoming primary elections to alter the powers that were usurped by the special interests so long ago, remember the words of Josef Stalin: it doesn’t matter who votes, but who counts the votes!
