I hate wife-beating, yet the Sharia, Koran and Sunna support it.

Wife Beating In Bible And Christianity

"To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in
childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire* will
be for your husband, and he will rule over you*." Genesis 3:16
"Wives,* submit to your husbands* as to the Lord.* For the husband is the
head of the wife* as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which
he is the Savior." Ephesians 5:22-23

Where in the entire Bible is the wife beating prohibited?
Doesn't Bible consider it necessary to condemn it?
Why early Christians beat thier wife?
Some Christians still beat thier wife. Then what's the problem are they
anti-bible?

The Bible doesn't only provoke beating but also instructs husbands to cut
their hands if they think thier wife defend him in a wrong way.
"And in case men struggle together (in a fight) with one another, and the
wife of the one has come near to deliver her husband out of the striking
one (to save her husband), and she has thrust out her hand and grabbed hold
of his private (the other man's groin),* she must then get both her hands
cut off, and the eyes of the men must feel no sorrow*." [Deuteronomy
25:11-12]

Bible states women were created to serve men and is glory of men not Lord,
" If a woman does not cover her head, *she should have her hair cut off*;
and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she
should cover her head. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the
image and glory of God; *but the woman is the glory of man.*" [1
Corinthians 11:6-7]
But what if women doesn't serve the man?
Well a Bible says beating can fix this problem!
"Young people take pride in their strength, but the gray hairs of wisdom
are even more beautiful. *A severe beating can knock all of the evil out of
you!*
[From the Contemporary English Version (CEV) Bible, Proverbs 20:29-30]"

Well whatever it is better for husband to live alone or in desert,
wilderness than sharing house with quarrelsome wife
"It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared
with a quarrelsome wife." [Proverbs 25:24]
"Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife."
[Proverbs 21:19]
Well I think it would be better for husband to go and time with her rather
then going into a desert

Hosea 3:1 clearly proves that one can beat his wife
" Then the LORD said to me, "Go and love your wife again, even though *she
commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the LORD
still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and
love to worship them*." [Hosea 3:1]

What should a husband do when her wife seeks for another God?
"Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the LORD must be destroyed."
 Exodus 22:20
"Stone everyone who has religious views that are different than your own."
Deuteronomy 17:2-7

What about if wife is a adulterer? Well there is a death punishment for
adultery
“If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall
both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman and the woman; so
shalt thou put away evil from Israel." [Deuteronomy 22.22]

Why doesn't the Bible condemn wife beating? Was it not necessary? Jesus too
didn't really care at all about it, or gave it much thought.

Why early Christians beat thier wife?

Given that the Bible nowhere condemns torture and sometimes prescribes
shockingly cruel penalties (such as burning alive), and that Christians so
wholeheartedly approved of self-torture, it’s not surprising that they
thought little of inflicting appallingly cruel treatment upon others. At
the height of Christianity’s power and influence, hundreds of thousands of
"witches" were brutally tortured and burned alive under the auspices of
ecclesiastical witch finders, and the Inquisition visited similarly cruel
treatment upon those accused of heresy. Henry Charles Lea records:

Two hundred wretches crowded the filthy gaol and it was requisite to forbid
the rest of the Conversos [Jews intimidated into converting to
Christianity] from leaving the city [Jaen, Spain] without a license. With
Diego’s assistance [Diego de Algeciras, a petty criminal and kept perjurer]
and the free use of torture, on both accused and witnesses, it was not
difficult to obtain whatever evidence was desired. The notary of the
tribunal, Antonio de Barcena, was especially successful in this. On one
occasion, he locked a young girl of fifteen in a room, stripped her naked
and scourged her until she consented to bear testimony against her mother.
A prisoner was carried in a chair to the auto da fe with his feet burnt to
the bone; he and *his wife were burnt alive* . . . The cells in which the
unfortunates were confined in heavy chains were narrow, dark, humid, filthy
and overrun with vermin, while their sequestrated property was squandered
by the officials, so that they nearly starved in prison while their
helpless children starved outside.

This misogynistic bias in Christianity’s basic texts has long been
translated into misogyny in practice. Throughout almost the entire time
that Christianity had Europe and America in its lock grip, women were
treated as chattel—they had essentially no political rights, and their
right to own property was severely restricted. Perhaps the clearest
illustration of the status of women in the ages when Christianity was at
its most powerful is the prevalence of wife beating. This degrading,
disgusting practice was very common throughout Christendom well up into the
19th century, and under English Common Law husbands who beat their wives
were specifically exempted from prosecution. (While wife beating is still
common in Christian lands, at least in some countries abusers are at least
sometimes prosecuted.

Well whatever some Christian husbands still beat and abuse thier wife. I
found a Christian women asking such question
"Dear Sir, my husband is a leader in a popular church in the Bahamas. We
have been married for more than fifteen years and for the past five years
he has become very abusive. He was first emotionally abusive, then
physically abusive after he was chosen to serve in an outstanding church
position. The church members do not believe that he is abusive because he
is so "nice" and popular. The members often make me feel that I am the
problem. Why do Christian men abuse their wives? Need help."
