Good Morning Brine! Well, I don't claim to be an expert....I've been raised a Christian all my life, but in all seriousness, it's only been the last few years that I have taken a more "astute" (for lack of a better term) interest in Christianity, (and all religions for that matter) but I openly admit that I have become a bit more spiritual in my latter years.
The concept of Zionism isn't based in Christian principles of tenets....It's just not. It's based on Old Covenant dogma, which by true Christian standards is rejected in a number of New Covenants. Strictly from a common sense standpoint; (admittedly influenced by Christianity); the concept of "Christian Zionism" is literally laughable. Stop and think about it! In a sense, the whole concept of "Biblical Israel" being one in the same as "UN Created Israel" is just as ridiculous; and I reject those Christian windbags (John Hagee being the biggest buffoon! I called him Charles last night but you know the windbag I am talking about!) who in my opinion, are not only misguided, they're dangerous! After looking a bit based on the article that you posted above, I see that what many who now advocate or proclaim "Christian Zionism" are really framing and discussing "Christian Restorationism" and in fact I now recall that this was what the original Wiki article branded Christian Zionism, later rebranding it. No matter, I don't subscribe to "Christian Restorationism" either....
