Actually, some veteran, for reasons that escape the sane mind, gave Trump HIS Purple Heart. And because he's Donald Trump, and doesn't comprehend concepts like simple decency, instead of handing it back explaining that "I greatly appreciate your sacrifice for your country, Sir, and thank you for wanting to give me your medal, but I cannot possibly accept it as I have done absolutely nothing to earn one", he TOOK the medal, saying that he's "always wanted one", and that getting it this way is "much easier" than being wounded in battle.
