True. But we don't force those who can't provide for themselves to use
birth control and stop popping out kids for others to raise and provide
for. And until we do, we need to provide access to affordable abortions.

Think about the level of intellect of someone who already has one or two
kids and lives in subsidized housing and on food stamps and utility
subsidies - who manages to get pregnant with a third kid. Is that someone
you really think should be reproducing?

I'm a pharmacist and spent quite a few years working in the inner city with
the indigent population. We had one lady who had SEVEN kids; she was
developmentally disabled - extremely low IQ and functional age equal to
that of an 8-year old. Every single one of her kids were born and raised
entirely on Medicaid, welfare, food stamps, and housing subsidies. Her
mother came in one day with a script for prenatal vitamins and told us that
her daughter was pregnant with her EIGHTH kid. She actually said "I don't
know what to do with her; I can't keep taking care of all of these kids she
keeps having". I looked at her silently and waited for her to ask for my
opinion, which she did.

I told her I was certain that Medicaid would pay for her daughter to have
her tubes tied - which should have happened either before or immediately
following the delivery of her first child. She thanked me and claimed she
would be looking into it after baby #8 was born. In the meantime, there are
THREE generations of Medicaid dependents living under one roof thanks to
this woman's "right" to have as many kids as she wants at the expense of
others. That's f*d up.
