And the same goes for their current governor, who is a republican. He just
signed a bill into law to cut down on gun trafficking. For years, whenever
their politicians are confronted about the MASSIVE amount of murders in
Chicago, they consistently blame "neighboring states with lax gun laws" and
claim they find their way into their "fair" city, and that is why their
murder rate is off the charts. As a resident of neighboring Indiana - which
is most often blamed - I'd love to ask just one of these morons why we
don't have the same problem here.

It's not the guns. It's the gangs and the lack of leadership from decades
of ignorant (and highly corrupt) democrats in Chicago.

Personally I hate to go there anymore, and almost never do. Parking is
impossible and cops are looking for any way they can to shake down visitors
with fines and fees. Criminals have scams running everywhere; I know
several people who've been victimized there. My brother's car was towed
while he parked in a parking lot with a small sign hidden behind a truck
that said the lot was only available for those with permits. As he sat
across the street while his 3 young kids were eating their breakfast, he
noticed a guy who looked like a homeless man sitting up against a tree just
in front of the lot. Then he noticed a cop go into the lot and stop and
hand the guy something. Turns out it was money, as he then watched -within
minutes - his car towed and had to pay $200 to get it back. Oh, and $50 to
get a cab to get there. He asked the "homeless" guy, who then took him over
and showed him the sign that wasn't visible for anyone entering the lot.

No thanks! I'll stick to my neighboring state with "lax gun laws", plenty
of parking, and cops that don't scam visitors.
