I actually got out of the corp law environment 11 years ago to a large
extent. I had focused on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and M&A for
over 10 years. I was tricked into Intl Tax Counsel in 2006, focusing on
cross-border, related party transactions ("transfer pricing" the thing that
has Apple, Starbucks and Google fighting global tax authorities,
particularly the EU Commission) and really enjoy it. I've been consulting
on general intl tax issues the last year and really on the challenges.
With the recently implemented Base Erosion-Profit Shifting regs, my phone
won't quit ringing....
