No one has forgotten. Of course House GOPers would never impeach Trump for corruption, no matter how blatantly criminal , kleptocratic or openly in violation of the Constitution's emoluments clause he gets, and they obviously wouldn't impeach him for stuff like establishing religion, violating civil rights or cracking down on civil liberties. Even getting caught red-handed colluding with foreign foes to manipulate our elections wouldn't make them bat an eyelash, and his pathological lying (excuse me... "Alternative Facts") and severe narcissistic personality disorder wouldn't bother them. But at some point he's going to piss off even your party giving the world away to his idol Putin or getting American soldiers, diplomats and spies killed in return for personal flattery and special treatment for Trump properties in Russia and elsewhere, or forgiveness of personal debt by foreign holders.
After they've gotten what they want from Trump -- abolition of environmental protection, privatization/gutting/repeal of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and health care for ordinary Americans, trillions of dollars in tax cuts for billionaires, removing all checks on Wall Street being able to bring down the economy for profit again, and so on -- they're eventually going to decide they've had enough of his hurting their big corporate contributors' profits destroying trade and making enemies of all our allies, and figure they'd rather have ultra-rightwing theocratic True Believer Mike Pence in the White House.
